Notary Signing Agent
A Notary Signing Agent is a notary who has been trained to assist in the last step of the loan process, which enables the loan to be funded. Responsibilities include printing the documents, meeting the signers and notarizing their signatures, and then safely returning the documents to the lender or contracting company for processing. Signing agents only verify and notarize signatures. They are prohibited from explaining the contents of the documents or answering questions related to the terms of contents of the documents.
